Admission Requirements
¡¡¡¡(1). Applicants who are willing to learn Chinese language and culture can apply for admission to WSTC as long as he or she is healthy, ethical and willing to abide by the laws and statutes of China, the regulations of local government and disciplines of the college.
¡¡¡¡(2). Applicants who have corresponding civil behavior ability according to the related laws and statutes of the People's Republic of China.
¡¡¡¡(3). Applicants who can afford all the expenses for studying and learning in China.
¡¡¡¡(4). Applicants who are willing to provide a recent original/authentic physical exam record, a letter of recommendation (school/university, company and community) and personal resume.
¡¡¡¡(5). Applicants who have passed HSK should provide a language proficiency certificate.
¡¡¡¡(6). Applicants of a non-degree Chinese Language Program will have no diploma requirement for admission. WSTC offers a studying certificate at the end of the program. International students who attend the HSK test organized by the National Chinese Teaching Office of China will be awarded a corresponding certificate by the Education Ministry of China.
Registration
¡¡¡¡All admitted international students should arrive at the college to get registered on time according to the Notice of Admission that they received. The Foreign Affairs Office(FAO) will help him or her go through all the necessary registration procedures. For registration, every student is required to submit the Notice of Admission, JW-202 Form, passport (original and photocopy), physical exam record (original and photocopy), 10 recent passport photos and pays the tuition and the mandatory fees. All students will be divided into the primary level, intermediate level or advanced level classes according to their Chinese proficiency by taking a test after their arrival. The FAO will pick up the new students at the airport or the bus station when they arrive in Kunming, but each student needs to inform the FAO of the exact date and number of the flight or the bus ahead of time.

Consulting Service
¡¡¡¡The FAO is responsible for arranging everything related to the international student¡¯s learning and living affairs (Public Security Bureau registration, residence permit and insurance affairs, etc). International students can get an on-campus part-time job based on their personal abilities. The FAO can appoint a one-to-one partner to the international students who need language help.
